As the policy of L&T InfoTech, fresher has to go under three months of rigorous elimination based training program, named as PRAVESH. PRAVESH was recognized for the Golden Peacock award in year ‘06. Learnt basics of C, C++, and html and specialization in mainframes.

Project was focused on maintenance and development of the existing Insurance Business in US.

o Wide exposure to COBOL, CICS, VSAM. , JCL, online and batch processes

Team Member – Harleysville Mutual Insurance Company DCT Testing
• HMIC is one of the biggest Insurance Company in US and is one of the major clients of L&T InfoTech in Insurance sector. Migration of the current system i.e. from mainframes to open system.

• Environment: OS/390 , Open system & DCT

• Features:
o Web based application of client converted to DCT (Duck creek system) from legacy mainframes.
o Manual testing of the system for the Auto line of business
o In later part also worked for the Personal lines of business
o Maintain Synchronization between earlier and current system.
• Roles and Responsibility:
o Timely delivery of projects against the aggressive deadlines.
o Ensure sustained adherence to Quality standards.
o Clear understanding of the BRD and execution of test cases.
o Preparation of function log.
o Documentation.
o Defect logging and to ensure they are resolved properly by retesting.
